Hand Motor Anatomy

Explore the anatomy behind hand motor examination.

Follow your hand in real time.

Clinical context & reference

The OK sign, thumbs up and crossed fingers illustrate movements used in a hand motor examination.

This prototype estimates hand shape from camera images. Recognition does not confirm fingertip contact, strength, an MRC grade, or normal nerve function. Unclear or unrecognized positions are not evidence of weakness.

About this demo & privacy

Dots mark estimated finger-joint locations. Lines extend to the fingertips and wrist, without dots at those reference points. The accent marks the joint positions associated with the gesture, not measured muscle activity. The demo recognizes OK sign, thumbs up and crossed fingers automatically on either hand. Overlapping fingers, poor lighting, or fast movement can interrupt tracking.

Camera images are processed in this browser and are not uploaded or saved. This is a movement demonstration, not a clinical measurement or a test of nerve function.
